The Gardens provide a tranquil, lush setting for many kinds of outdoor events. In the past the Friends and other groups have hosted sculpture exhibitions and competitions, garden rambles throughout the district, guided tours and teddy bears’ picnics, and look forward to many more events. The Gardens are not only a great venue for simple pleasures like picnics, play, exercise, meditation or just a walk, they are also perfect in fact, for birthdays, weddings, end of year functions and concerts - almost any celebration or gathering.
The Friends Group invite the public to enjoy the following events proposed for 2019 and beyond:
The Friends of the Kyneton Botanic Gardens are joining forces with the Kyneton Horticultural Society and sharing events, ideas, activities and friendships to create an even stronger horticultural presence in the region. Together, the groups aim to forge ahead with improvements to the Botanic Gardens according to the Masterplan conceived by Landscape Architect, Andrew Laidlaw, as well as other projects to encourage more plant growing in the community. We are currently establishing a growing friends' group and propagating plants, an activity both groups have desired to do for many years.
